E-Publishing

E-Publishing More and more information is now published electronically, often dispensing entirely with traditional print publishing.

The World Wide Web, together with CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, and other multimedia vehicles, are the prime beneficiaries of this electronic publishing boom.

Small publications, linked to private or corporate WebSites, can be easily achieved. The challenge however comes when extensive volumes and multilingual publications are to be processed.

At ERIN we start by looking at the project foundations, i.e. the data storage / knowledge base. Whether the solution is then based on a database, relational database, mark-up language, or other methodology, can then be established early in the project. Data entry, conversion, and other Content Management aspects are all examined, as are the dissemination requirements user / reader preferences.

ERIN are also active in on-line publishing. We have launched an on-line community (Inter-IT.com) and an associated monthly newsletter (Inter-IT Review) to promote awareness of strategic developments in the rapidly evolving world of Information and Internet technologies, primarily aimed at policy makers.
